Missing items - no refund - ignoring my queries

I called on day of delivery - x1 mask was enclosed x6 missing. I had ordered 7 in total. I was told I would receive these the following week. I then received an email advising out of stock and to expect a refund in 5-7 business days - this has not been received. I have emailed several times in reply to the email advising me of an expected refund and have not had ANY response! Not even a generic we are looking into the issue.

It’s now almost 1 month since I placed the original order!

How can such a large company receive so many bad reviews? Seriously Dr Jart - AKA Estée Lauder sort this out!!

For a worldwide brand this is totally unacceptable I will not be ordering from you in future and will also post this to as many places as possible to warn others.

Can not recommend two incorrect online orders

Can not recommend. Twice I’ve ordered directly from Estée Lauder when they have had deals and received neither. This last one was ordering a full size night serum and getting a second. I called them and still have received nothing. Going elsewhere.

They test on Animals as they sell in China

I used Estee Lauder but since I have found out they TEST on Animals. I used to think they were "designer" they are a sham morally, and ethically. You can't continue to support companies who by law have to test on animals in CHINA, don't use make-up that is sold there :( THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS, CHOOSE VEGAN, ETHICAL BRANDS

I ordered 2 items valued at almost $200…

I ordered 2 items valued at almost $200 I declined the items and returned them, on July 13 / 22 they received them @ 9:06 am. I have made several calls asking when I can expect my refund and have had nothing but a run around saying they have to wait from warehouse to see when they were returned, I advised them the tracking # shows it was in fact received by the warehouse and if I can see it why can’t they. I had to contact Visa to get them to get my money returned and as of today August 2/22 I have yet to see my money returned. I would NOT advise anyone to buy from this company, I gave thousands to them for products and cannot believe they are doing this, kind of sad really a company this size withholding $200 ? Lol I think it’s pretty pathetic. So they lost a very valuable customer. I’ll surely pass this around to all I know who shop there to.

I have a defective product and Estee…

I have a defective product and Estee Lauder will not listen to my problem and just passed me along. i purchased a concealer and the applicator fell off. Try to let them know and get a replacement and was told they could not help - I offered to show photos. but they didn't care. SO buyer beware - they don't back up.

Estee Lauder is my favorite luxury…

Estee Lauder is my favorite luxury skincare, and makeup brand. Their foundations are perfect for more mature folk like myself. It's a thing, medium coverage consistency and you can use it daily. It makes me feel so much more radiant and beautiful. Their products really are worth the price and make me feel beautiful.

Beware: The loyalty program is a ruse!

I'm specifically writing about the Loyalty program which has proven to be a ruse! Technically a customer is entitled to a free full size product upon teaching 450 points. The problem is that near unavailability of these supposed products renders this promotion utterly useless. They offer a few items to select, the majority to entirety of which are always out of stock and never seem to get replenished or renewed. So, it's clear that Estee Lauder uses this ruse to encourage the members to spend money just to never fulfill the promised obligation. I wrote to the customer service explaining the situation but never received an answer which to be honest is hardly surprising to me. It's obvious that this company does not commit to any responsibility or accountability towards its customers.

BUYER BEWARE!

I bought the Perfectionist Pro Multi-Defense Aqua UV Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 50 and let me start off by saying it did not work well at all. I got very burned on my face as if I did not have any protection at all.

Secondly, I wish I looked at the active ingredients before purchasing. I assumed Estée Lauder was a reputable company so I did not have to check but boy was I wrong!!! I checked and EVERY SINGLE ONE of the active ingredients is harmful to the body!!!!!! They also put oxybenzone it in which is illegal to sell in Hawaii and it is harmful to marine life and coral reefs. I live in Hawaii and I bought this in Hawaii. This means that Estes Lauder is selling to companies in Hawaii even though it is illegal. I looked it up and unfortunately the law isn't really enforced (which doesn't make sense but that's a different topic). I am shocked because living in Hawaii and having that ingredient illegal in Hawaii made me feel like I did not have to check for it but apparently I do. It blows my mind that every single active ingredient in this "sunscreen" is harmful to the body AND the environment. I will be staying clear from Estée Lauder because they obviously don't care about their customer's health or the health of the planet.

Truly Disheartening

I have been using different Estée Lauder foundations for years now and never realized that they were not a cruelty free brand. I know it is ignorance on my part for not simply taking the time to look it up beforehand but still, as a consumer I was extremely disappointed to discover this. I don’t mind switching to a different brand if it means not supporting animal testing, and I truly do hope some of you reading this will do the same.

Q:

Does their skincare products irritate the skin? I have really sensitive skin

Answer This Question

Q:

Are the products from Estee Lauder really worth the money?

A:

Probably depends on the product and your personal budget if they're worth the money. For me, I find their skincare products very effective and my skin seems to really "like" them. I usually buy when there's some kind of bonus or discount available because they are pricey. On the other hand, I pay full price without a second thought for the Double Wear mascara. It took me years to find a mascara that wouldn't smudge or somehow wear off through the day, and I won't use anything else now.
